A First Class Concert Series at affordable prices

The Los Gatos Concert Association is celebrating its 74th year of bringing world-class entertainment to the West Valley community at affordable prices. The all-volunteer, nonprofit organization has hosted a variety of talent over the years, including symphony orchestras, chorales, brass ensembles, wind symphonies, opera companies, string quartets, pianists, dance performances, comedians, vocal ensembles and soloists, guitarists, organists, and musical theater.

Participation in the Four-Concert Series is by annual Season Subscription. Concerts are scheduled annually from September through May. Various categories of membership are offered, including Season Tickets to all four concerts in the Series. 2021-2022 Season ticket prices are $50 for Adults, $45 for Seniors, $10 for Students and $105 for Families. This Season package offers a savings over single ticket purchases. The annual Subscription renewal period is from May – September each year. Partial Season Ticket Subscriptions are available as appropriate.

Single Tickets may be purchased on a space available basis online previous to each event. They will be posted here, or purchased at the door one hour before curtain. Single ticket prices are $30.00 for adults, $25 for seniors, $5 for students and a $65 family plan of two adults plus students under 25 living at home.

Concerts are held at the newly renovated Los Gatos High School Theatre, Prentiss Brown Auditorium, on Sunday afternoons at 2:30 pm. Doors open at 2:00 pm with open seating.

Brazilian born, Diego Figueiredo is an extraordinary fast rising star among the world’s greatest jazz guitarists.  He fuses jazz, bossa nova and classical into his own unique style.  His superb technique, timing and imagination has been seen by audiences worldwide, including multiple stops at the Montreux Jazz Competition.

Eric Himy is a rare combination of music with meaning and technique that transcends normal barriers.  He studied music at the University of Maryland and received a Master of Music degree from the Julliard School in NYC.  His repertoire for solo piano consists of works from Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Gershwin and many more.  His own arrangements of “Rhapsody in Blue” and “An American in Paris” have amazed audiences all over the world.

Don Neely and the RSJO are renowned for capturing the essence of Hot Swing, Hot Dance, 1920’s Syncopated Big Band Jazz, Cotton Club and 1920’s/1930’s Jazz with an approach both fresh and exciting.  Drawing inspiration from the great bands, performers and composers of the Jazz Age and Swing Era, the RSJO affectionately recreate the fascination of that musical heyday.
